What To Expect:

This season will look fairly normal, but there will be a few key differences put in place for the safety of our players, volunteers and families. Safety requirements will be strictly enforced and full cooperation from our members is expected.
● Temperatures taken of all players and coaches upon arrival. If any person has a fever or is not feeling well, they cannot participate.
● All players must wear a mask when 6’ distance cannot be adhered to.
● Use of dugouts is off limits. Players and coaches can line their gear up along the baseline fences. Players must stay outside of fence during any gameplay.
● Players should not share gear. If this isn’t possible, all gear must be wiped down and sanitized between uses.
● Players should not share snacks and/or water bottles.
● Players and coaches should refrain from any personal contact. No high fives, hand shakes, fist bumps.
● Players and coaches should sanitize as often as possible. When coming in from the outfield, after an at bat, between each inning, after using the restroom.
● Use of the bleachers is not allowed.
● Spectators should be limited to immediate family (same household), and should be seated in the outfield, minimum 6’ apart and with their own family unit.
● NO SPITTING OF ANY KIND. No seeds, No gum.

SKILLS ASSESSMENTS

Everyone will need to comply with COVID safety guidelines. If you or anyone in your household has COVID or has been exposed to someone with COVID, please don’t come. Notify us and we will place your player on a team. At the fields, stay 6 feet apart, no congregating and wear your mask. We will be taking the player's temperature at check-in.

Minors & Majors

Please click on the link below to sign-up for you day and time. When you sign-up make sure to use the players name (not the name of the parent). Coaches will be evaluating five players every 15 minutes, so it is very important that you arrive on time.  Please arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled time to check-in.

Requirements : Players MUST be registered (and paid) for the 2021 AGVLL Season. There are NO sign-ups at the skills assessment.

When: Saturday, March 6th  9:00am - 12:00pm  - or -  Tuesday, March 9th 4:00 pm - 6:00pm. Players only need to attend one skills assessment.

Where: Soto Sports Complex - Santos Field

Who: ALL players league age 9 and older must attend one of the Skills Assessment sessions. 8 year olds that would like to tryout for the Minors Division must attend as well. If your 8 year old plans to play in the Farm Division no assessment is necessary.

What to Expect: Each session will last approximately 10-15 minutes.  Each group of players field ground balls & fly balls, swing at five pitches and run the bases.

Is this a Try Out? No, this is a skills assessment. Every child is placed on a team. Skills Assessment determines the appropriate division for each player, and it gives coaches a chance gauge a players skill level before the draft.

What do I Bring? Players should arrive ready to play in baseball pants and cleats. Bring your own glove, bat (USA approved) and helmet.

Intermediate

Requirements : Players MUST be registered (and paid) for the 2021 AGVLL Season. There are NO sign-ups at the skills assessment.

When: Saturday, March 6th  2:00pm-5:00pm. All intermediate players will stay the duration of the time.  If you cannot attend on this day please sign up using the link above and come to the assessment on Tuesday, March 9th.

Where: Soto Sports Complex - Don Roberts Field

Who: ALL players signed up for the intermediate division

What to Expect:  Agility/speed training, pitching mechanics/arm care, infield/outfield drills. Scrimmage will follow.
